The Cancellation of approaching Buddhist Celebrations/Activities for FY2022
Wat Thai and address our Buddhist Community concerns, we are taking measures to avoid spreading of Covid-19 virus by announcing cancellations of the followings;
- The Magha Puja Day is scheduled for February 13, 2022 – Canceled
- The Ceremony of Vesssantara Sermon (Thet Mahachat) is scheduled for March 13, 2022 -Canceled
- The Annual Thai New Year Celebration (Songkran) is scheduled for April 10, 2022 – waiting for the board meeting decision
- The Visakha Puja Celebration is scheduled for May 15, 2022 – waiting for the board meeting decision
- The Annual School program is scheduled from March through May 2022 – Canceled
- The Summer School program for FY 2022 – Canceled
- The Sunday morning offering food, Merit-making, and Meditation class program for FY 2022 – Canceled
- No guest accommodation at Wat Thai from February through May 2022
- Personal merit-making and offering breakfast and lunch for the monks allowed in every day.
- Morning chanting at 06.00 am. and Evening chanting at 06.00 pm. allowed in every day
At Wat Thai, the health and well-being of our congregation, associates, and communities is our top priority. The Administrative Committees at Wat Thai have made this informative Announcement available to all Thai Buddhist members.
If there is any new development and guideline pertaining to the safety of our Wat Thai community become available in the future, you will be promptly notified. In the meantime, all Wat Thai Buddhist residents, and its members should remain alert and follow Officials’ orders, news, in order to be informed of the situation on the Covid-19 virus.
